***UPDATE
WALLEYE UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2007

Many seasons have passed since we released the first 744 Walleye fall fingerlings in 1999. Since that first effort, thanks to your help, about 12000 more have been released.

From survey results, and anglers calling in reports of fish caught, it is obvious that the walleye are doing well in Baptiste. Heck, even I am catching Walleye regularly.

Since we are still in possession of a permit to release Walleye Fingerlings we would like to purchase and release 2000 this fall. As you are aware, the fingerlings cost $3 apiece.

This year, about $2300 has been donated by supporters. If you were one we thank you.

Sometime in late October when the waters have cooled, fall fingerlings will be available.

These 6 to 8 inch fish will be a welcome addition to Baptiste waters. If you can help with this falls release please send a donation payable to Baptiste Walleye to Baptiste walleye P.O. Box 954 Bancroft K0L 1C0.

If you have caught Walleye this year please let us know by completing a survey form available at Country Fare or online

The survey results will be posted to the Baptiste web site later this fall.

There is room at the bottom of this memo for more pictures. Please take the opportunity to share your picture by e-mailing it to me a_sdavis@sympatico.ca. Our album is growing.

Thanks for your continuing support.
