Please find attached picture of the "Baptiste Alligator" which towed logs from the lumber camp at Diamond Lake to the mill at Baptiste. Courtesy of Ron and Margaret Cafley (former Baptiste Lake residents). Here is a fall picture taken in 1986 by Mac Bartlett. Mac Bartlett was born in the village, went to Toronto, then retired here. His family came here in the early 1860s (To Monteagle township) Mac's great-grandfather had 6 sons ,many descendants still live in the area.
